The Restaurant & Bar Design Awards are back for another year with a long shortlist of 214 finalists, 15 of which are proudly Australian.

The Restaurant & Bar Design Awards are back for another year with a long shortlist of 214 finalists selected across 32 categories and from over 70 countries, 15 of which are proudly Australian.

They range from a snazzy nightclub that lived a former life as a car park, to a light-filled café nestled under the belly of an Elenberg Fraser apartment in Melbourne.

Competing in the ‘Australia & Pacific Bar’ category are:

Bond Lounge by Hachem is shortlisted in the ‘Nightclub’ category, while Raw Trade by StudioY and The Kettle Black by Studio You Me (both pictured below) are finalists for the ‘UK & International Categories – Café’ award.

Now in its seventh year, the program is the only awards in the world dedicated to the design of food and beverage spaces. This year’s jury include Tony Chambers, Editor in Chief of Wallpaper, Alberto Alessi, Marcus Wareing and Thomas Heatherwick. For the full shortlist, please click HERE.
