The Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA) is inviting submissions of abstracts for this year’s Research Summit, part of the Festival of Landscape Architecture. But hurry, submissions close June 5.
The 2015 summit will address the theme This Public Life through the lenses Life + Death, Love + Longing and Participation + Spectacle.
The Creative Directors of the festival would welcome submissions from students, researchers, practitioners and academics.
Festival Creative Director Claire Martin said the occasion will provide an excellent opportunity to collaborate, share and reflect on the latest built environment research.
The submission deadline for poster and keynote presentation abstracts to the Research Summit Committee is midnight AEST Friday 5 June 2015. Abstracts will be peer-reviewed and selected for presentation by the Research Summit Committee. Successful applicants will present at the Summit at the University of Melbourne on Thursday 15 October, the opening day of the 2015 Festival of Landscape Architecture: This Public Life.

The 2015 Festival of Landscape Architecture: This Public Life program, which runs from 15-18 October, will also include a landscape architecture conference at Federation Square, opening party, awards night, student design competition, an exhibition, tours and film screenings. Creative Directors, Claire Martin, Cameron Bruhn and Ricky Ricardo have secured a high profile line-up of local and international speakers to lead the conversation.
