Design has commenced on the fourth stage of the development at Wentworth Point Marinas, with architects Scott Carver given the green light to develop plans for Point Marinas, the fourth residential block to date.

This comes on the back of strong sales for the precinct’s third block, Regatta.

The new Point Marinas mixed-use development will be located in the centre of the 11 hectare Wentworth Point Marinas site in Homebush, NSW. It includes a 20 storey tower with an eight storey podium providing 340 apartments, retail units and a community precinct.

As Master Planners, one of the key drivers for Scott Carver is to create a vibrant community which connects all of the residential buildings.

This involves designing an activated street frontage to ensure the whole development has a broader connection to the urban fabric being woven at each stage.

According to Scott Carver, the key to vitality for this community will be “services for diverse age groups and streets which encourage interaction”.

The team has been working with Billbergia Developments for almost a decade on the Wentworth Point Marinas project. Another three blocks will be delivered in the masterplan in six stages, with the entire development to house 5,000 residents by 2020.

A footbridge will also be constructed within the project, privately funded by an alliance of the Wentworth Point property owners through a Voluntary Planning Agreement (VPA) with the NSW Government.

This new pedestrian, bus and emergency vehicle bridge will connect residents at Wentworth Point Marinas to access the retail areas and rail connection at Rhodes, as well as the ferry terminal.
