Modulnova has introduced an Italian-style bathroom design concept in
Australia based on bold functionality in richly textured finishes, and simple
understated design utilising both manmade and natural materials.
Modulnova’s design concept is based on providing a furnishing solution
for a modern bathing space. Some of the materials used to deliver the desired finishes
and textures in the bathroom include cement resin emulating concrete, yet
smooth to the touch; Kerlite, a ceramic material more durable than stone,
lighter than aluminium at only 3mm thick and used to create bench tops, basins,
drawers and doors for a uniform aesthetic; natural timbers or bold veneers; and
strikingly grand, flamed Piasentina stone.
A perception of space is conveyed using wall cabinetry that is sleek and
lineal with sliding or lift-up doors, integrated storage to reduce visual
clutter, and handle-less drawers and doors.
Customers have a choice of eight distinct designs that can then be
customised in terms of components, materials, finishes and textures.
A leading Italian contemporary design firm, Modulnova is one of several
brands under The Nest 45 umbrella housed in the impressive heritage-listed Design
Precinct at Cockatoo Island.
