Architect Marlon Blackwell has been announced as a guest speaker for Brickworks’ 2017 International Speaker Series in Sydney.

The founder of the Fayetteville-based firm Marlon Blackwell Architects will discuss his life, practice and experiences on 21 June.

Central to Marlon Blackwell Architects is the belief that architecture can happen anywhere, at any scale, at any budget. The US firm has been responsible for the designs of the Steven L Anderson Design Centre in Fayetteville, the St. Nicholas Eastern Orthodox Church in Springdale and the Crystal Bridges Museum Store in Bentonville.

Blackwell is also a distinguished professor and E. Fay Jones chair in architecture at the Fay Jones School of Architecture.

The Sydney Brickworks event is part of a series of talks hosted at Brickworks Design Studios throughout Australia’s major cities.
