A new resource titled 'What Does an Architect do?’ aims to help future or aspiring architects and members of the public who are interested in knowing the basics of what an architect does.

The resource provides a broad picture of the diverse roles architects have within the profession, including examples from a range of age groups, office models, and areas of expertise.

The document goes through step by step what an architect needs to do to become qualified and includes anecdotes from architects at notable Australian practices.

Architects interviewed for the project include Rachel Neeson of Neeson Murcutt Architects, David Holm director at Cox Richardson Architects and Drew Heath of Drew Heath Architects among many others with their perspective.

The resource also covers the different roles an architect may take and the diversity in the industry depending on the size and specialty of the practice.
