Australian engineered wood experts will come together in June to discuss and predict the future role that timber will play in the Australian construction sector.
‘Building with engineered wood construction systems’ will form part of the Frame Australia 2015 conference and will bring together architects, designers, developers and structural timber experts for a day of interaction on Monday 1 June at Park Hyatt Melbourne.
Frame Australia says that the conference will include the comparison of recently completed projects in both lightweight and mass timber and that architect James Fitzpatrick will be on hand to discuss his nine-storey boutique hotel development in Sydney which used CLT construction.
Topics for discussion will include building codes and engineering design to provide specialised information for building designers and other professionals, in conjunction with cutting edge technologies for construction systems.
