Voters will have the tough task of choosing just one project from the 2014 Australian Timber Design Awards, with the People’s Choice gallery now open for public viewing and voting.
Now in its 15th year, this year’s gallery sees over 90 projects ranging from benches and sculptures to large-scale multi-residential projects, all of which showcase timber as the key project material.
Plywood furniture, cross-laminated timber, hardwood decking, vertical and horizontal cladding, tongue and groove soffit features, and recycled timber walls all make an appearance in this year’s People's Choice gallery and show in everything from tree houses to church ceilings.
The winners of the People's Choice and all Australian Timber Design Awards categories will be announced at the presentation evening on Thursday 18 September at the National Maritime Museum at Darling Harbour in Sydney.
