The Australian Timber Flooring Association will honour its star performers at the upcoming ATFA Awards for Excellence in Melbourne.
Presenting a platform to spotlight some of the best timber flooring boards in the market, ATFA’s awards programme will celebrate industry innovators in various categories. Four ‘Floor of the Year’ winners will be announced at the 2015 ATFA Awards for Excellence, sponsored by Hurford Hardwood, with the categories including residential, commercial/industrial, manufacturer factory-finish, and recycled.
Seven individual awards will also be given for Australia’s best timber flooring apprentice, employee, contractor, showroom, sales representative, distributor and innovative product.
ATFA chief executive Randy Flierman comments that timber flooring now accounts for 25 per cent of the flooring market, with the growth driven by increasing interest from homeowners and builders. He added that timber’s almost endless design possibilities will be recognised through these awards.
Established in 2005 and representing more than 600 timber flooring contractors, the ATFA has evolved over the past decade into a free timber flooring resource for home renovators and new home builders to architects, draftsmen and interior designers.
The ATFA Awards for Excellence will be held on Saturday, July 18, at Showtime Entertainment, South Wharf Promenade, Melbourne.
