Architectus has unveiled Belinda Giles as the practice’s new Chief Financial Officer, as it looks to evolve and grow its brand.

The practice sees Giles’ appointment as key to improving processes and operations. A Chartered Accountant who has worked in the finance sector, Giles’ expertise in working in partner-owned businesses makes her an ideal fit for Architectus.

Giles will be involved in establishing financial and IT systems and processes for the practice, as well as playing a vital role in Architectus’ leadership team. Formerly the CFO of Brennan IT, Giles was involved heavily in the company’s growth agenda during her four year tenure.

“Belinda will be a key contributor to our leadership team, ensuring we have the right systems, processes and people to support our strategy towards becoming Australia’s leading architecture and design practice,” says Architectus CEO Ray Brown.

Giles has also held senior positions with Parsons Brinckerhoff, later acquired by WSP. In addition to the integration expertise she gained in that phase of her career, she has significant experience in tax, valuations and systems across both employee-owned and private companies.

Worldwide work experience has taken the CFO from Cape Town to London to Sydney, where she will be based for Architectus.

“As a practice, Architectus has been on the rise for years thanks to the team’s vision and dedication from the start. I’m looking forward to playing a part in the next, exciting phase of the business,” Giles says.
