Karndean Designflooring announces that its luxury vinyl designflooring products have achieved the GreenTag LCARate Silver certification.
GreenTag is a third party green building product rating and certification system that simplifies the process of identifying, comparing and sourcing products for their environmental credentials. The GreenTag LCARate Silver certification now enables Karndean vinyl flooring to offer eco-credit points towards Green Star building projects.
Karndean Designflooring already holds GreenTag Level A certification for low emitting volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and reduced exposure to pollutants; the latest certification focuses on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), which is used to determine the environmental and Whole of Life (WoL) impact associated with a product by evaluating its sustainability, recycled content and energy emissions.
