Knauf Insulation announces that its glasswool insulation product, Jet Stream MAX has received CodeMark certification. The CodeMark certification for the high performing, blow-in glasswool insulation will provide customers and territorial authorities with further confidence in the quality and compliance of the product.
Currently administered by MBIE, CodeMark certification was developed by the Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) in consultation with the New Zealand Department of Building and Housing (DBH). A key objective of the certification is to support the use of new and innovative building products by providing a nationally and internationally accepted process for products to be assessed for compliance with the requirements of the building codes of Australia and New Zealand.
The Certificate of Conformity issued to products provides confidence and certainty to regulatory authorities and the market. Legislation requires building control authorities to accept CodeMark certified products, giving building owners and designers confidence in the product and providing a smooth compliance pathway.
The new CodeMark certification means Knauf Insulation has withdrawn the BRANZ Appraisal for this product.
