The Australian Trellis Door Company (ATDC) recently supplied their cutting edge S08 folding doors to secure the curved leaseline perimeters of two island kiosks at the foodcourt for a project by Singapore’s Housing and Development Board.

Project design specifications

ATDC folding door

Four custom designed curved folding doors were supplied for this unique project, each door spanning approximately 9.5 metres in width x 2.7 metres in height and traversing two 90-degree curves through a standard 600mm radius.

Each system was fabricated in easily manageable sections through a series of intermediate up/down locks that facilitate seamless lock up without the need for any cumbersome removeable mullions or clumsy removeable floor tracks.

The 40mm x 40mm extruded heavy duty top track in turn provides a further advantage in that it eliminates the need for any overhead headroom clearance (whilst still requiring an overhead support structure)

Specifying architect

The specifying architect for the project was the Singapore-based MKPL Architect, with Ancon Anda Pty Ltd serving as the project managers and builders.

Colour range

The doors on this project were supplied in a standard black satin powdercoat finish. Pearl white is an additional standard powdercoat option. Special finishes are available at a premium with an extended lead time.

Warranty

ATDC offers a 12-month warranty against defective materials and workmanship. With the project located in Singapore, the customer agreed to purchase additional spares of key components to facilitate speedy repairs and service in the event of any functional issues developing over time.
