Nominations are opening on 18 April for the 2013 National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) QLD/NT Crystal Vision Awards, which recognise outstanding achievements made by women in the construction industry.

In its fifteenth year, the Crystal Vision Awards will showcase inspiring Queensland and Northern Territory women, who play a vital role in encouraging fellow women to pursue a career in the traditionally male dominated industry.

NAWIC QLD/NT president and partner at Holding Redlich, Janelle Kerrisk suggests industry leaders look around their organisations and encourage the outstanding women within their teams to nominate themselves.

“The awards provide the opportunity to celebrate the outstanding achievements of many of our members and reward their enthusiasm, skills and commitment to the construction industry,” she said.

“In previous years we have received an overwhelming number of nominations and our aim this year is to attract even more nominations.”
