The Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS) has announced the finalists for the 2014 Infinite Value Awards, which seeks to highlight the successes of the global construction industry and reward a variety of outstanding international professionals and projects.
NSW leads the way with 11 finalists vying for the top honour across nine categories, while VIC, QLD, NT and WA are also well represented. ACT finalists include The National Arboretum Reception Centre by WT Partnership and built by the ACT Government, and local professional Fiona Doherty of Rider Levett Bucknall.
Notable building and architecture projects from around Australia included in the mix are Mirvac’s 8 Chifley Square, 50 Martin Place by MBMpl, and Westmead Millennium Institute by Lend Lease, all of which are in the running for the Innovation Project prize.
Gold Coast University Hospital by Lend Lease, and the Perth Arena nominated by Ralph Beattie Bosworth are two of five shortlisted for the Government Project Award.
