Canberralab (CL) is a new online project which a group of young architects have developed to establish a discourse within Canberra’s design community.
Through building a platform to critique/discuss/discover Canberra’s built environment the CL zine is planning to "foster and encourage an exoteric dialogue between architecture, design and art".
“More than that though, CL is about understanding Canberra… investigating what it is that works for Canberra, why is the city the way it is, what works, what doesn’t, " the website header explains.
The site thus far includes profiles of unbuilt projects as well as musings on local-relevant statistics, like the fact 358 571 people were living in Canberra in 2010; the suburbs covered around 2350 sqm, resulting in a population density of 152.5 persons per sqm.
The group behind the site were recently profiled in the Canberra Times.
