These unbelievable origami structures of insects and fish use paper to its most intricate extreme.

Swiss-based artist Sipho Mabona uses just one sheet of paper to create his realistic designs which can take up to 20 hours of solid folding.

Designing his structures, on the other hand, can take anywhere from a day to six months of work.

Mabona was the first-ever foreigner to be invited to the Japan Origami Academic Society (JOAS) Convention in 2008 and his model appeared on the cover of the JOAS Convention book.
