Two prominent photographers have been commissioned by City of Perth to capture the architecture in Perth as it changes and develops the city.
Max Pam has created a photographic essay capturing the social elements of the city as well as its built environment. Pam, a travel photographer who has turned the lens to focus on his hometown, embraces the everyday subject matter of city life with a savvy mix of grit and glam.
Simon Westlake turns his attention to architectural photography to document the current major developments taking place in the city. Westlake has been the Western Australian Photographer of the Year a record four times between 1991-2007 and has submitted a photographic series that documents the city’s ongoing development where steel meets the sky.
These two projects will be on exhibition from Monday 22 March to Friday 16 April 2010 at the Council House Foyer.
