Melbourne-based architecture and interior design studio Carr has announced the elevation of interior designers Bianca Dignan and Chloé Walton to their leadership team.
As specialists within Carr’s residential interior design team, Dignan and Walton contribute significant multi-residential and single residential knowledge and experience. Residential design, which is Carr’s foundation sector, continues to be a defining body of work for the studio; the latest appointments not only reflect and support the practice’s significant business growth but also recognise their continued commitment to this design segment.
“Residential interiors has always been a core of the business and is integral to our vision for holistic practice. The elevation and maturity in the team is further strengthened by Chloé and Bianca’s appointments as they lead the team with Sue and I across all scales of projects. We’re excited by the opportunities the promotion affords to the team and the nature of work we embark on,” Carr managing director Chris McCue said.
With 2022 seeing Carr with its largest number of projects on site and to be completed to date, the elevations equally mark the leadership team at its most comprehensive and robust yet.
Bianca Dignan
As an individual, Dignan is motivated by the impact that design and the environments we inhabit can have on our everyday lives. As an associate at Carr specialising in residential design, her design philosophy is centred on creating highly functional and enduring environments that foster wellbeing and promote community connection. Continuously delving into the user behaviour of various residential typologies, Dignan appreciates the commercial acumen of the residential market. Bolstered by in-depth knowledge and continuous research of spatial planning, she is committed to influencing change through collaboration and client engagement.
Chloé Walton
With a background in architecture and interior design, Walton brings over 15 years of practical experience across both disciplines to her role at Carr. As an associate within the residential interiors team, her process is strongly shaped by this hybrid perspective, which allows her to provide a unique and holistic lens to each project. Walton enjoys the intersection of methodical process and limitless creativity. This collision of science and the arts inspires her in the pursuit to improve and reinvent how things are done. Through her commitment to solving a client’s brief and needs, Walton prioritises and harnesses active listening to ensure the desired outcome is achieved.
