Acryloc Rust Converter from Acryloc Building Products is an acid based rust treatment. It is designed for chemical passivation and the removal of light rust from metal roof sheeting.
Rust Converter rust treatments need to be diluted before use, as it comes as a concentrate. It is recommended for use as preparation for repainting jobs. It can passivate light to medium rust on metal.
In addition, this rust treatment can be used to facilitate the removal of minor deposits of oil and grease and for chemically etching the metal surface to ensure optimum adhesion of the subsequent primer coat.
Suitable substrates are Zincalume and Galvanised Iron; Iron and Steel; and Colorbond.
