Brisbane-based consultancy Architectural Information Services (AIS) has expanded its service interstate and is now offering help to architectural librarians and practice managers in Victoria and NSW.
The group has broadened its reach beyond its home state, Queensland, where AIS services more than 20 architectural practices plus the seven regional offices of the Queensland Government architectural office, Project Services – with a total user base of more than 1500 architects and interior designers.
The AIS system brings a firm’s reference library up to date, makes it easy for anyone in an office to search library contents from their own computer, and ensures that the library is updated continually with the latest information from leading suppliers to the construction industry.
Better still, the system costs next to nothing to install and run because its costs are heavily subsidised by more than 100 suppliers.
AIS claims that it can show offices that employ more than 20 architects how the AIS system will save time, money and frustration, as well as creating a user-friendly and easier-to-maintain technical reference library.
