Arden Architectural Staircases offers Z2 stainless steel staircases, combining the strength of a mono-stringer design with a sophisticated and elegant finish.
These staircases feature a structural frame that is concealed behind a polished stainless steel zigzag plate, and are well suited for installation in modern prestige residences.
The stainless steel zigzag plate enhances the aesthetic appeal of these staircases, giving the impression that the plates have been sculpted from a single solid billet of metal. A frameless glass or face-fixed balustrade system is well suited to installation with these staircases, enhancing their transparent qualities while emphasising the zigzag stringer feature.
Z2 stainless steel staircases are constructed around two laser cut mild steel core stringers. These stringers are bound together with short lengths of square hollow section steel, forming a ladder frame to which more lengths of steel are added. This anchors and support the treads.
Cores are clad with 3mm plate stainless steel, with all welds ground flush and polished to ensure a seamless finish.
Steps are constructed once the stringer has been installed by screwing blocks of ply in between the outriggers and centre sections. Dress wood veneers and nosings are then bonded to these ply cores.
