The
Australian Refrigeration Council Ltd (ARC) administers handling licenses and trading authorisation to professionals in the refrigeration and air conditioning industries, on behalf of the Australian government.
To have a better quality environment in Australia is what ARC set out for and this will be achieved by reducing greenhouse gases and ozone depleting substance emissions through their licensing scheme, as well as compliance and education.
RTA certificates for businesses or RHL cards for technicians are both beneficial to have. It tells customers that the business or person they are dealing with is professional and well qualified in that field, therefore giving customers an instant peace of mind. Also the industry will be viewed in a better way if more people have these licenses which become important for long term sustainability.
Working to get the message across to all potential consumers in the refrigeration and air condition industries about the license scheme, ARC too developed an online industry directory for customers to locate other licensed professionals that are nearby, as well as online marketing tools for licensed businesses to use.
