Staff at the Patrick Port Botany Terminal (PBBT) came together
recently to raise money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) as
part of the Foundation’s Real Men Wear Pink campaign. Wearing pink Bisley Workwear shirts, the staff also challenged their Western Australian colleagues
to ‘Pink Up’ and help the Foundation raise funds for breast cancer research.
With the support of its partners Bisley Workwear and RSEA, PBBT held
a breakfast on Friday morning for their staff and NBCF
representatives. RSEA presented a $500 cheque to NBCF. PBBT staff sold
pink ribbon cookies, wore pink Bisley Workwear shirts and passed around a pink
bucket raising $1060 in total for vital breast cancer research.

Manager at PBBT commented that everyone at the wharf knew
someone who had cancer and wanted to show their support by participating in the
Pink Up campaign and helping the National Breast Cancer Foundation reach its
goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030. The Terminal staff now wants their
Western Australian colleagues to follow suit.
According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation CEO Carole Renouf, Real Men
Wear Pink shouldn’t just be limited to workwear and high-vis clothing. Anyone

a pair of pink business socks or a pink tie for the day, or get around town in
a pink tuxedo.
