Britton Timbers has been appointed as the newest Australian distribution partner for Abodo NZ, supplying Abodo Wood to Victoria, New South Wales, Tasmania, South Australia and Queensland through their distribution partners.
Britton Timbers will be stocking Abodo’s core product, Vulcan Wood (thermally modified timber) along with Abodo Protector Oil and Sioo:x coatings in every state.
From their modest beginnings with a single mill in Tasmania 110 years ago, the family-owned Britton Timbers has grown into a company with four distribution locations on the east coast, specialising in some of the finest timbers and coatings.
A leader in sustainably sourced thermally modified timber, Abodo utilises specialised heat treatments to supply high performing and durable timber for architectural projects, helping designers and builders achieve beautiful and lasting outcomes.
Abodo’s thermally modified timber will be available as cladding, battens, panelling/ lining and joinery. Supplied in average lengths of 3.6m to 4.5m, the timber is extraordinarily stable with no leaching. Abodo timber is also sourced from FSC-certified plantations.
As part of their commitment to the Australian market, Abodo has appointed new staff in Sydney and Melbourne to help service the national architectural market alongside Britton Timbers.
