Signage specialist Claude Neon created a massive 15m high sign for the unveiling of the Asahi brand in Perth.
Set atop the iconic landmark and heritage listed Raffles Hotel in Perth, the Asahi sign lit up the Canning River in Perth as the beer garden was turned into a Japanese garden to unveil the new brand, Asahi.
Measuring 15m high and 7m wide, the sign can easily be seen from across the river to the city of Perth and was brought to life by signage specialist Claude Neon using a concealed LED light box behind exposed neon letters.
This is in line with the heritage aspect of the building, yet brings new age technology to the execution.
Nicholas Rigney, General Manager for Claude Neon explains a unique sign was developed to meet Asahi’s branding requirements and the constraints of the heritage listed site. The campaign attached to the new installation would have evoked a lot of interest around what was unveiled and the new signage coming to the venue.
The construction process was tied in with a broader digital campaign named #CrateNinjas.
