When a growing demand for their products led to Demtech Australia increasing in-house production and investment in new machines, there was a corresponding rise in energy consumption. Two years ago, Demtech turned to sustainable energy to reduce their energy costs as well as their carbon footprint and impact on the environment.
Demtech worked with The Solar Power Co to install a 99 kilowatt solar power system comprising of over 250 solar panels and three inverters. The solar power system generates clean energy to power their warehouse and office complex. The solar panels installed on the rooftop are designed for commercial use and coupled with three Solar Edge three-phase inverters, which are incredibly reliable and efficient. A Solar Edge optimiser on each panel also enables Demtech to monitor the performance of the panel, ensuring optimum efficiency.
By using solar power for their manufacturing processes, Demtech has not only reduced their carbon emissions but also achieved savings on their energy bill, which are passed directly onto customers through reduced prices across a number of products.
Demtech continues to be at the forefront of innovation and sustainability, constantly searching for ways to reduce their impact on the environment and ensure a sustainable future for generations to come.
