Ducting specialist Eximo speed LOCK has launched a new range of
antistatic flexible ducting products designed for use in food and
pharmaceutical manufacturing industries.
FoodFlex AS (Anti Static) is a flexible polyether-polyurethane ducting
solution featuring a stainless steel wire spiral designed to be used in food and
pharmaceutical manufacturing applications where dust and other abrasives have
the potential to generate static electricity. The flexible ducting is used for
the suction and discharge of abrasive and granular materials commonly found during
manufacturing in these industries.
A translucent flexible ducting product, FoodFlex AS has a temperature
resistance range of -40°C up to +100°C; resists chemical hydrolysis and a wide
range of food-specific microbes; and is lightweight, nontoxic and food safe
according to US FDA regulation 21 CFR 177.2600.
FoodFlex AS is permanently antistatic (R ≤ 109 Ohm), and conforms to
TRBS 2153 to provide excellent abrasion resistance and good all-round
flexibility.
Eximo founder and Managing Director Roger Marriott remarked that the
launch of FoodFlex AS opens yet another successful chapter in Eximo’s 31-year
history of providing unique and cutting edge ducting solutions. The new food
safe and highly antistatic flexible ducting product is designed to provide food
manufacturers across Australia and New Zealand the safest and longest lasting
environmental protection solution on the market, while also helping them keep
both their workers and factories safe and secure from static electricity.
FoodFlex AS will be available ex-stock from Eximo speed LOCK in a range
of lengths and diameters from May 1, 2015.
