A Guide to Choosing LED Products and Suppliers provides buyers a checklist including information on quality, safety, warranty, compatibility and installation of lighting products. The guide also offers information about checking the registration of LED products under Australia's Electrical Equipment Safety Scheme. The performance section advises buyers to verify important factors such as light output, efficiency and energy consumption of LED products.
Lighting Council Australia CEO Bryan Douglas says the guide has been published in response to market demand for independent information at a time of profound change in lighting technology and the lighting industry.
