Australian cricketing legend Glenn McGrath will address the National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA) conference as the keynote speaker on Langkawi Island in Malaysia in April 2013.
Glenn, who is Chairman of the McGrath Foundation, has agreed to attend the entire conference including a Golf Day that he will be hosting.
According to
NECA NSW Executive Director Oliver Judd, many of NECA members are keen followers of cricket as well as golf, and Glenn’s participation at the conference will add lustre to the proceedings.
A call for sponsors will soon be launched inviting electrical industry suppliers to have first shot at underwriting Glenn as their golf partner or join their table for the Gala Dinner. Other sponsor opportunities have also been planned with a portion of funds to be donated to the McGrath Foundation’s work on breast cancer awareness and assistance.
Oliver adds that NECA is also lining up other impressive personalities to attend the conference, with exciting activities and speakers being planned for delegate partners.
The NECA conference is scheduled for 15 to 20 April 2013 with a two-day conference agenda within a specially priced holiday package available to family and partners. It is supported by the NSW, ACT, Victorian, South Australian and Tasmanian chapters of NECA.
Membership of the Association is not necessary for participation, with the conference open to all electrical contractors, accredited service providers, data and communications cablers and security installation contractors.
NECA is the peak industry body representing the interests of over 5,000 electrical and communications contractors Australia-wide.
