Made from solid timber sourced from managed forests, Next Timber is a natural, hard-wearing product ideal for use as kitchen benchtops or bathroom benchtops. Selected from some of the finest raw materials around the world, Next Timber benchtops have a style that will suit almost any environment.
Knots and variations in the grain and colour can occur in the natural solid timber, adding to the character, beauty and uniqueness of each piece, which only enhance over time.
Next Timber benchtops are made using 42mm staves, finger joined and glued together to provide a stable surface that will last for many years. Supplied in modular form, Next Timber is also available in 32mm thick pieces.
Next Timber is supplied raw, allowing the customer to finish to specific preferences. A natural look can be achieved by finishing with high quality food grade timber oils, which can be done at home. A key advantage of this process is that the benchtop will only require minor reworking during the lifetime of the product to maintain the beauty of the timber.
Alternatively, a polyurethane coating can be professionally applied to the Next Timber benchtop for a hard, glossy finish. Over time, the gloss patina will increase with regular maintenance.
Next Timber benchtops have simple maintenance requirements, needing only a damp cloth and a mild detergent. Next Timber benchtops can be re-sanded and refinished at any time during their life to maintain their good looks.
Next Timber is available in six core species including European Walnut, Ash, European Cherry, Country Beech, Sapele, and European Oak. Next Timber can also be used for wall panels, wardrobes, stair treads, desks and tables.
