Adelaide-based manufacturer of Australia’s leading compression fittings and valves for polyethylene pipelines, Philmac has appointed Mike Wilson as General Manager, Supply Chain.
A supply chain specialist with extensive experience across the manufacturing industry, Mr Wilson has served in senior leadership roles for extended periods at heavy vehicle supplier Meritor and Rolls Royce across aerospace, defence and energy markets.
Throughout his career, Mr Wilson has demonstrated a strong commitment to improving customer service levels in high profile markets by continuously focussing on supply chain efficiencies.
Philmac Managing Director Mark Nykiel said Mr Wilson’s global experience would further support Philmac’s Australian sales and marketing team in meeting its customer delivery expectations.
A world leader in compression fitting technology, Philmac exports its products to more than 30 countries. According to Mr Nykiel, the company is seeing continued success both in the domestic Australian market through innovative product releases plus growth in strategic export markets where they are able to leverage Australian ingenuity. Supply chain efficiencies are therefore increasingly important to sustain Philmac’s continued growth.
Mr Wilson comments that Philmac has an excellent position in the Australian market, particularly in the rural and irrigation sectors. He looks forward to maintaining the high level of service provided to these customers.
He is confident Philmac’s team of people across the supply chain will ensure the company continues to remain competitive in customer service levels.
