Steeline Truss and Frame in Mount Gambier now offers residents of the Mount Gambier area and beyond the option of steel house framing and trusses.
The South Australian company officially launched on 31 March 2010 to more than 100 local builders, architects and designers in the new 600sqm factory which promises to bring new business to the district.
Tony Steen, owner of Steeline Mount Gambier explained, “We saw an opportunity in the market for a local company to produce house frames made from TRUECORE steel and so we teamed up with builder, Des Braithwaite, to form the new business.
“We have been working with steel for years in our roofing business, so adding steel house framing to our portfolio was an obvious move for us as we understand the material and its numerous benefits, such as termite resistance which is a huge benefit.”
Traditionally, the Mount Gambier area has used timber frames for homes, so providing an alternative option of house framing made from TRUECORE steel will be a real advantage to local homeowners. In particular, steel frames and trusses are resistant to termites and borers which are an ongoing problem in the area.
House frames made from TRUECORE steel frames are strong and won’t shrink, twist or warp, and will remain straight and true throughout the lifetime of a home. They offer a very ‘future considerate’ solution as steel is one of the most recycled materials on earth. Additionally, all steel made by BlueScope Steel includes recovered steel in its manufacture.
Designed particularly for the Australian market, residential house frames made from TRUECORE steel and are supplied with a 50 year warranty, providing peace of mind to both the builder and homeowner alike.
