Total Design and Construct employ a systematic methodology, while designing and constructing buildings and fit-outs. This systematic methodology could be briefly divided into three stages. The first stage incorporate steps such as agreeing on the cost as decided by the constructor software, signing the file stamped plans and contracts, signing the insurance policies, conducting the safety audit, orientating with the project manager on the decided procedures and final step of this stage includes conducting the site meeting with the stakeholders.
The second stage involves inducting the employees on site specific hazards and OH & S procedures, nominating the safety officer and supplying the safety manual, beginning the work, implementing the quality assurance policy, ascertaining the building surveyors, reporting the progress of the work as well as the status of the project and finally completing the second safety audit. The quality assurance policy has to be implemented by the project manager. This systematic methodology has been designed to ensure that the project is completed without any delay.
The final stage involves adding of finishing supervisor for completing the project, ensuring that the quality assurance complies with industry standards, ensuring that the inspections are completed as well as approved, ensuring that the works are completed according to the sketched plan, collecting the certificates of compliance and supplying these certificate copies to the building surveyor.
