Tree60 ’s UPM ProFi composite decking is an environmentally sustainable product, which is recycled and recyclable, and leaves a low carbon foot print, making a positive impact on the environment.
Every 1 kg of label waste recycled into UPM ProFi composite decking prevents the release of approximately 1.84 kg CO2 into the atmosphere. Every 10 lorries of UPM ProFi composite decking produced means 6 fewer lorries of waste landfill or incineration. Each 1 m2 of UPM ProFi deck boards contains 10 kg of label waste which would have released 18.4 kg CO2. A high proportion of the waste produced during manufacture is recycled into new products.
Tree60’s UPM ProFi composite decking is not manufactured using PVC nor any other plastics with the exception of polypropylene.Toxic biocides are not used in the manufacturing process either.
Unlike impregnated timber or PVC based products, UPM ProFi composite decking off-cuts may be disposed of with normal household waste.
Packs of UPM ProFi Decking boards are simply packaged. No unnecessary paper or plastic wrappings are used.
