Viking Sauna offers a range of sauna and steam room installation services as well as a portfolio of equipment.
When fitting out a Sauna, the walls and ceilings are lined with horizontal timber battens and ceiling joists are installed at a height of 2100mm to 2400mm.
Insulation batts R1.5 grade are installed in the walls while the ceiling receives a double layer of insulation. The walls and ceiling are then lined with aluminium foil and also with cedar panelling. The cedar panelling is installed using a secret nail profile and the thickness can range from 10mm to 15mm.
The flooring of the sauna can be created from non-slip tiles or cedar decking slats. Domestic sauna seats are created from cedar decking slats on cedar frames while commercial seats need to be created from 40mm thick cedar beams on cedar frame supports. Two different height benches (900mm and 450mm) make up the typical layout of a sauna, however special layouts are also possible.
Saunas also feature an insulated cedar framed and panelled door with an observation window measuring 260mm x 600mm, however, other sizes are available.
