The Wyvern Private Hospital located near healthy bushland is set to serve the wider community as an important surgical and rehabilitation centre in Sydney’s Northern Beaches. To match the vision held for this newly constructed hospital, its interiors and exteriors were required to emulate the same level of excellence and quality. Wood-look aluminium was an obvious choice for the ceilings and soffits during the design of the hospital as it would be capable of enduring the elements and it is also non-combustible, a feature that may be required when building near untamed bushland.
ALUMATE'S ALCL07550, a concealed clip-on linear ceiling system, was selected for use both externally and internally on soffits and ceilings. The woodgrain powdercoat applied to these battens mimics the natural grained appearance of real timber, creating an inviting exterior and a calm interior that seamlessly blends with the surrounding bushland. The ceiling battens convey a sense of depth on the ceilings and soffits that they are affixed to while also reducing the visibility of any possible pipes and cables, making them an ideal choice instead of solid panelling.
ALUMATE’s products are fashioned with quality and aesthetics in mind – a fact that architects, designers, builders, and homeowners greatly appreciate. It is quite likely that the products supplied by Alumate will continue to be an eye-catching element of the hospital’s interiors and exteriors for long into the future.
