Two products from Bradford Insulation were specified for a massive roof installation at the Commercial Industrial Property (CIP) warehouse project in Huntingwood.
The 31,849-square-metre roof system had to meet BCA Section J energy efficiency requirements by providing the total system R-value to meet the required thermal performance for its building type and climate zone.
The Huntingwood CIP warehouse roof system is made up of a metal roof structure with 31,849 square metres of Bradford’s Anticon insulation blankets providing thermal and acoustic insulation as well as condensation control. Additionally, 21,207 lineal metres of SpacerX roof spacer were installed to allow the insulation to achieve R-Value compliance, as well as complement the concealed fixed roof sheets.
The entire roof system complete with safety mesh, insulation blanket, spacers and roof sheets was installed in 41 days.
Being the fastest spacer for concealed fixed metal roofs, Bradford’s patented SpacerX roof spacer system supported the quick project turnaround. SpacerX improves speed of construction by allowing the spacer and the concealed fixed roof clip to be assembled with around half the number of fasteners.

SpacerX can be fastened to the purlin along with the concealed clip with one set of screws, altogether requiring around half the number of fasteners. Suitable for most 700mm concealed fixed roofing profiles.
Fast start and fast finish
Custom designed Start Blocks allow SpacerX to be aligned to the start of the roof sheet line, even on non-parallel fascia roofs. SpacerX can just be over-lapped to finish the roof – there’s no need to shorten spacers with a grinder.
