Dulux has launched its first Concrete and Paving products range – a three-stage, heavy duty coating system for those looking to upgrade the exterior of their home and improve street appeal.
Available to coat both bare concrete and sealed surfaces, Dulux Concrete and Paving has been developed with an advanced product formulation suitable for everyday consumer application on concrete and paving areas such as driveways, garage floors, paths and patios.
“Replacing concrete or other paved surfaces can be quite costly, not only requiring you to fork out funds for building materials, but also setting aside a hefty fee for a trade specialist to complete the work, and in some instances, additional fees for council permits,” says Dulux Brand Manager Sorren Henderson.
“With this new product range in market, we hope to be able to educate consumers, so they have the knowledge and tools to be able to execute a more affordable, yet effective upgrade to these areas of the home without needing to rip up the existing surfaces.”
Furthermore, areas such as driveways no longer exist just for function; they are a crucial design element that can feed into the overall look and feel of your home and, in turn, increase your street appeal.

With this new range, our customers will be able to stay on top of home maintenance and create living environments that they love – both inside and out!”
Suitable for application over worn and stained surfaces, the Dulux Concrete & Paving range is slip-resistant, can be tinted to Dulux’s full colour library (1,000s of colours to choose from), and has superior durability for a premium finish that is ideal for high traffic areas.
Launching in Bunnings and select independents nationwide from April 2023, Dulux Concrete and Paving will be available in a range of sizes - 1L, 2L, 4L and 10L (depending on the product).

When it comes to picking colours for your home, Dulux Colour Expert Andrea Lucena-Orr says there is no right or wrong choice – it really is a matter of personal style preference. However, many people don’t often know how to achieve a cohesive look outdoors – particularly when it comes to different style homes.
Here is Andrea’s colour inspiration advice to get you started:
Art Deco: Try for simple schemes highlighting the beautiful architectural features in these homes – soft greens and blues, coral and subtle yellows on your walls along with white trims work well together. Colours such as Dulux Celery Satin, Pre School or White Box are some strong choices. For paving colour, look at mid based greys such as Dulux Timeless Grey or Tranquil Retreat.
Traditional: There are so many options for a traditional home and colour schemes; often, you can add more colours to emphasise the beautiful architectural character of the home. Try some of Dulux’s more traditional colours – Dulux Portland Stone and Regency White and for paving have a look at a warmer hue such as Dulux Tapestry Beige or, for a total contrast, Dulux Wayward Grey.
Coastal: Here you can have some fun with whites and neutrals: Soft warm whites and neutrals such as Dulux Sandy Day, Beige Royal, and Terrace White alongside a crisp white such as Dulux Lexicon Quarter. Look at mid-tone neutrals and greys for paving paint to keep up with that coastal vibe – think Dulux Beige Calm, Winter Fog or Grey Port.
Mid Century Modern: Mid Century Modern home and colour schemes are ones you can play around with. Today, many people use more contemporary colour schemes on these beautiful homes, but you can also use some subtle hues, almost in a pastel. Try soft greens and blues as well as add some striking colour to a front door. Keep paving colour aligned and tonal with the main home colour.
Contemporary: Many contemporary homes love to use tonal variations of grey or greige. Try Dulux Tranquil Retreat or Snow Season along with Dulux Lexicon Half for trims. For the paving colour, look at Dulux Teahouse or Grey Master.
