Recently, Paarhammer was awarded the NSW State Award for Residential Window/Glass Retrofit for Beach Retreat and the Victorian State Award for Commercial Window/Glass Project under $750,000 for Clifton Hill Passive House Primary School. Both projects were also successful and received the Australian National Awards in their category from AGWA, the Australian Glass and Windows Association.
A big thank you to all our Paarhammer staff who, as a team, were making the windows and doors for these projects. A big thank you to our clients, architects, and builders who chose Paarhammer to work with them on their remarkable projects, and to all our suppliers.
Beach Retreat is a residential property on the NSW Northern Beaches, which was quite challenging as it stretches several storeys up a 45-degree hillside and is flanked by a National Park. Paarhammer's Bushfire Safe BAL-FZ windows and doors, including fixed, tilt-and-turn windows and hinged lift-slide and stacker sliding doors were at the heart of the renovation's success in addressing bushfire safety, aesthetic goals, and thermal comfort.

In an inspiration to the whole industry, Clifton Hill Primary School chose to build their new vertical campus to the Passive House standard and use Australian-made windows. Paarhammer’s triple-glazed Passive House Range in composite Wood-Alu was the ideal choice with extremely low U-values, high sound protection, and airtightness, which satisfied the building's strong sustainability and health agenda.
