Yellowbox, known for providing leading smart locker access and management software, has launched their new Hardwired Lock. Previously Yellowbox's access and management software could only be used through the Yellowbox Wireless Lock. After multiple client requests, Yellowbox developed and recently released a Hardwired Lock, allowing clients to use Yellowbox's leading locker access and management software, through a Hardwired powered lock, further reducing the maintenance required on the locker system (no battery replacements).

The Hardwired Smart Lock provides a battery-free experience for management. The lock is incredibly secure and robust, with an anti-force performance of 350kgF. The installation and setup process compared to other hardwired systems, being software driven and not requiring onsite servers. The locks also have an emergency latch for mechanical overrides.

Yellowbox's ASX Listed client was looking for a locker system fit for over 600 lockers for their 80 Ann Street Brisbane Headquarters that would align with their movement towards a smarter workplace experience for staff.

They were in search of a system that would be seamless and self-serve to use and easy to manage for their facility managers, including tasks such as onboarding/offboarding users, support and maintenance.

Yellowbox provided a leading solution centred around usability and ease of management. Key elements included:

  • Allowing staff to use existing work login and open locker through mobile phone, through SSO integration.
  • Wired powered system to remove all bettery maintenance.

  • Cloud-based software locker management system without onsite servers.
     

 

The client has since rolled out the Yellowbox locker system to multiple offices around Australia. The Yellowbox dashboard allows the client's Workplace team to analyse usage of the lockers across multiple offices. 

Yellowbox continues to provide new feature updates to the software on a monthly basis, ensuring all Yellowbox clients will continue to uphold a leading and cutting edge locker system for years to come.
