We here at Architecture & Design are a very Australian-focused masthead, but that doesn’t mean we don’t keep an eye on what’s going on in the outer realms of the Earth.
Australia is at the coalface of sustainable architecture in many ways. Intent on curbing our emissions by 2050, our decarbonisation strategy means we have to begin to design sustainably. That said, many projects in different corners of the globe deserve credence, and give credence to them we will.
Introducing the International Design category for the 2024 edition of the Sustainability Awards. Our first-ever ‘worldwide’ category, our esteemed jury will search far and wide for the best environmentally responsible designed project from around the world.
Shortlisted and the subsequent winning projects will be sympathetic to the local surrounding. The category is not limited to one sector, or defined by budget. Quite simply, we’ll be looking for the best project that embodies sustainable design throughout.
We look forward to crowning the first-ever winner of the International Design category, along with 17 others at the Sustainability Awards Gala later this year. To be in attendance, you’ve gotta put yourself in the ring! Register your project here.
