The Caroma Flow Shower was designed and developed by GWA Bathroom & Kitchens with energy and water efficiency as a primary objective.
The innovative product meets the challenges of maintaining a high level of user comfort and achieving improved environmental objectives.
“We built special systems into the shower that have given us the result we’ve got today, which we think is a world-class shower. It uses less water and saves on energy. It performs as well as a high performing shower that uses a lot more water - 30 per cent more water,” says Dr Cummings.
The company took two years to refine the concept of the shower, in order to guarantee it was suitable for the Australian and overseas markets.
Using patented shower technology, it offers high levels of performance, comfort, with an ultra low 6.5L/ min flow rate providing significant energy and water savings. The judges called it “a clever re-invention of a common household item that will yield massive water and energy savings on an ongoing basis in both new and existing buildings”.
