Lendlease’s One Sydney Harbour is collaborating with Porsche and Outbound to become the first residential building in Australia to offer an electric Porsche car share service, redefining luxury living.
Lendlease’s One Sydney Harbour is collaborating with Porsche and Outbound to become the first residential building in Australia to offer an electric Porsche car share service, redefining luxury living.
The innovative amenity will feature the new Porsche Macan EV, the brand’s first electric SUV, as well as the Porsche Taycan EV. Both will be available exclusively to One Sydney Harbour residents in early 2025.
One Sydney Harbour residents can easily access these premium vehicles through the Outbound app, offering a seamless booking experience that fits their lifestyles.
Whether it's a quick trip into the city, a weekend getaway, or an important business meeting, residents can reserve either the Porsche Taycan or Porsche Macan on-demand.
The convenience of having luxury electric vehicles readily available means residents can enjoy the freedom of car ownership without the usual commitments such as maintenance, insurance, or parking concerns.
This innovative amenity complements the building's urban lifestyle, where convenience and sustainability meet luxury living.
Providing residents with electric rideshare options also aligns with One Sydney Harbour’s commitment to sustainability and, in line with Climate Active's Carbon Neutral in Operations commitment for the precinct, 100% of the electricity used to charge the vehicles is generated by renewable energy sources.
In Australia, the car-sharing industry has expanded rapidly since the early 2000s, doubling the number of users between 2014 and 2019. The largest growth areas have been in Melbourne and Sydney, where car-sharing is a viable alternative to private car ownership, especially in inner-city areas where parking can be limited and expensive.
Located in the heart of Barangaroo, One Sydney Harbour is a landmark residential development by Lendlease, designed by world-renowned architect Renzo Piano Building Workshop.
The development consists of three towers offering views of Sydney Harbour and residences designed with the highest level of luxury in mind, featuring bespoke interiors, floor-to-ceiling glass windows, and expansive wintergardens and balconies.
This service complements a raft of initiatives at One Sydney Harbour that promote more sustainable living and reduce residents’ environmental impact.
This includes energy-efficient design features such as automatic blinds that operate within a triple-glazed, crystal-like facade, helping to maintain a comfortable temperature and reduce the need for additional heating and cooling.
This is in line with Lendlease’s ambitious Mission Zero targets, which aims for net zero carbon emissions by 2025 for Scope 1 and 2, and absolute zero carbon by 2040, covering Scope 1, 2 and 3.
Further cementing the relationship between One Sydney Harbour and Porsche, residents and the public will be able to experience the Porsche brand firsthand at Porsche Now, a luxury pop-up retail open until early April at One Sydney Harbour.
The space will host exclusive events, including the launch of the New 911, offering a tangible connection to the pioneering car share program and reinforcing One Sydney Harbour's position as a leader in premium residential amenities.
