Australian photographer snaps two of top 20 international architectural images for 2015

Two architectural images by Australian photographer, Christopher Frederick Jones have been shortlisted by Arcaid for the 2015 Arcaid Architectural Photography Awards.

Frederick Jones’ candid snap of the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre by Cox Rayner Architects has been named by Arcaid as one of the five finalists in the Exterior category, while his similarly effortless photograph of Nudgee College by M3 Architecture in Brisbane was shortlisted in the Buildings In Use category.

The top 20 international architectural images of 2015 were sorted into four categories - Exteriors, Interiors, Sense of Place, and Building in Use – and feature buildings from all over the globe including Parque Natural do Fogo by OTO Arquitectos in Cabo Verde, the The Leadenhall Building in London, Englang by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners and the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Japan by SANAA.

The winners of each category will be considered for the Photographer of the Year Award to be announced at the World Architecture Festival 4-6 November at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
