OASIS Residences, a $280-million luxury apartment development in South Melbourne has been completed, with developer Holder East achieving a 90% settlement rate on their largest project to date.
Located at 30-32 Palmerston Crescent, the 19-storey development designed by Hayball Architects and constructed by Roberts Co. initially comprised 158 residences; however, with local owner-occupiers amalgamating up to four units to create a spacious house-sized residence, the building is now home to 137 apartments.

Positioned on a rare urban island, a standalone block with no immediate neighbours, OASIS guarantees uninterrupted 360-degree views, enhancing the sense of privacy and exclusivity for residents. Exclusive amenities for residents include a rooftop infinity pool, a fully equipped gym, private dining room and bar, and a children's playroom.
The lush rooftop terrace provides a breathtaking vantage point to enjoy panoramic views of Albert Park Lake and Port Phillip Bay, making it the perfect venue for gatherings. An expansive atrium void spanning over three levels greets residents upon entry.
Also part of the OASIS Residences offering is the first Hyatt House hotel in Melbourne, in partnership with Hyatt Hotels Corporation that will offer guests everything they need for short or long-term stays across 97 rooms. Hyatt House is scheduled to open in 2025.
“OASIS Residences represents a new standard in luxurious living in South Melbourne. Achieving 80 percent in sales is a testament to the project's quality and the thoughtful design that resonates with today’s buyers. We adapted our approach to accommodate buyers' needs during these challenging times, ensuring they felt supported every step of the way,” says Holder East’s chief operations officer CJ Wu.

Designed for the modern urban dweller, OASIS features superior finishes, energy-efficient technologies, and cutting-edge smart building integration, ensuring a sophisticated living experience for future residents. The project not only meets the demand for luxurious living but also sets a benchmark for future developments in the area.
At a settlement event for the project, John Mullahy MP acknowledged the importance of projects such as OASIS in addressing the state's housing needs.
“Housing provides a foundation for strong communities, families, and individuals. The Victorian Government is working to ensure that all Victorians have access to safe, affordable, and appropriate housing,” Mullahy says.
