Three Australian flooring industry associations have come together on a common platform to work collaboratively.

The new Australian Flooring Industry Alliance brings together the peak industry associations for Australia’s $20 billion flooring industry including the Australian Resilient Flooring Association (ARFA), Australasian Timber Flooring Association (ATFA) and the Carpet Institute of Australia Limited (CIAL).

The Alliance will work collaboratively on issues that are important to their respective members and the flooring industry as a whole, and will benefit from collective action and a united voice. Member associations will work together to address issues such as installer skill shortages, quality of vocational training, government policy, programs and regulations that affect the flooring industry, and industry standards.

As Alliance members, each participating association will be represented by their Chair or President and CEO. The associations have signed a Memorandum of Understanding outlining the aims and rules of operation of this important flooring industry initiative.
