The South Australian Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure have released a YouTube video which shows the 100-week redevelopment of Adelaide Oval condensed into a three minute time lapse film.

The $535 million redevelopment was designed by Cox Architecture, who was appointed by the Government of South Australia as architectural lead, along with Walter Brooke and Hames Sharley.

Arup, Aurecon, AECOM and Wallbridge & Gilbert were the collaborating engineers for the project which involved construction of new southern and eastern stands, refurbishment of the heritage scoreboard and a grassed northern mound.

The engineers recently won the highest honour conferred at Engineers Australia’s South Australia (SA) Engineering Excellence Awards by taking home the Malcolm Kinnaird Engineering Excellence Award.
