Launched in 2013, Scape has become the largest purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) owner and operator with 33 buildings across the country.

For the Scape Victoria Street development, Vingcard introduced Entrance Systems to the project builder Infinity Constructions to provide a secure and user-friendly entrance to the student kitchen area.

ASSA ABLOY SG100 speedgate was selected based on its modern slim compact design, the ability to integrate with various access control systems to manage and monitor people going in and out, and its durable and low-maintenance construction.

Two SG100 lanes were surface-mounted to the polished concrete flooring, with frameless glass sidelights designed to match the door panels, to enclose the lanes to the adjacent wall framing.

To ensure only authorised residents can access the kitchen area, each lane was fitted with Vingcard Signature RFID readers to the top glass panel. These readers were supplied by Vingcard to match the access technology used for the individual apartments’ doors throughout the building.
