In education, unwanted noise in classrooms is detrimental to learning outcomes for students due to reduced speech intelligibility, and it comes most often from the intrusion of external noise; noise transferred between individual spaces including impact noise; and the lack of control of reverberation, which impedes speech intelligibility.

The high acoustic ratings achieved by Bildspec operable walls facilitate flexible learning spaces where children can learn in a quiet yet robust physical learning environment. Acoustic walls achieve this by greatly reducing external noise from passing into each classroom.

Condell Park Public School, under the supervision of the NSW Department of Education, and as part of the ongoing revamp, recently installed two Bildspec Series 100 Rw45 centre stacking acoustic walls, with bottom mechanical retracting seals to divide two classrooms in Block G and Block M.

The acoustic walls were finished in Autex Composition 10mm – colour Flatron.
